Clinical presentation
Adult with a palpable thyroid nodule and a suspicious level VI cervical lymph node.
Key imaging findings
- Solid hypoechoic nodule, taller-than-wide in the transverse plane
- Punctate echogenic foci representing microcalcifications (psammoma bodies)
- Irregular / lobulated margins
- Abnormal nodes: cystic change, punctate calcification and peripheral vascularity
